International students enrolled in Singapore’s public universities and polytechnics are allowed to work part-time up to 16 hours per week during the school term. They need to obtain prior permission from the Student Liaison/Affairs Office of their respective institute. They can work full-time during vacations. The International students enrolled in the Private Education Organizations are not allowed to work part-time during their course.

The main intake for the Government University is August. Few programs also have February intake. The Polytechnics have April/September intake, and the Private Education Organization have multiple intakes.

(Jan/Feb/July/Aug/Sep/Oct/etc.) Admissions and financial aid at Public institutes in Singapore are highly competitive.

For visa purposes, TOEFL or IELTS is not mandatory. But it can be an admission requirement.

  • Scanned Photograph the size must be 3.5 X 4.5 cms, and the size of your face in the photos should measure between 2.5 and 3.5 and should be in the center of the photo
  • Birth Certificate in English or Affidavit of Birth
  • Bank Balance Certificate from the sponsor
  • Visa Application Fees to be paid after In-principal Approval

The Visa processing time is normally 4-6 weeks. Applicants are advised to enter Singapore to complete the formalities for the issuance of a Student’s Pass only after their applications have been approved. They will be issued Student Passes within one month from the course commencement date.
